Course Details:

This course is for Plumbers who work in the industry and hold a Level II NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or an equivalent certification (we will check your eligibility based on your current qualifications upon your application)
Course Includes Theory & Practical Training on:
• Flues & Ventilation
• Combustion
• Testing Procedures
• Gas Rating and Burner Pressures
• Familiarisation with Industry reference material
• Safe Use of the Flue Gas Analyser
• Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS)
Candidate must complete a portfolio of 50 Jobs with a Gas Safe Registered engineer as evidence of their competency. (not included as part of the course)

• What are the Entry requirements? 
The entry requirements for this course is that you must have an expired CCN1 qualification, level 3 NVQ in plumbing and heating or a Pathway To Gas certificate to undertake the Initial assessment course. 
 
• How will I be trained? 
On the morning of the first day, an informal training session will be held which provides a platform for group discussion about any changes that may have been implemented since the candidates last carried out their assessments or to give New applicants some refresher training as needed.
 
• Where will I be trained? 
The training will be carried out in one of the classrooms at our training centre facility in Grimsby, which includes monitors for presentations, whiteboards for diagrams and notes as well as gas appliances and meters connected to a live supply for practical demonstrations.
 
• How will I be assessed?
The assessment is carried out via theory question papers (a mixture of multiple choice and written papers) and a practical assessment carried out by a qualified assessor. Both written and practical elements of the assessment will pertain to core natural gas safety as well as any appliances undertaken.
 
• What will I achieve? 
Upon successful completion of the course, ACS qualifications will be attained and are valid for a period of five years, allowing candidates to safely and legally work on gas appliances in domestic properties. Our certification body will automatically notify the Gas Safe register of their ability to register.

•Plumber to Gas - £2,250.00 + VAT (£2,700.00) •Portfolio Build (optional extra) - £1000.00 + VAT (£1,200.00)
